Who is the True Shakespeare????

    William Shakespeare
  • We have all heard of the well renowned poet, dramatist and play writer, William Shakespeare of Stratford, born in 1564. He has written many plays, sonnets and various other forms or literary texts. However, taking into account that Shakespeare was only a business merchant and that most of his plays and sonnets had verses from England Royalty, there has been a heated debate about the authorship of Shakespeare.
  • There are quite a few people who are considered to be the real Shakespeare and who may have been the true authors to his fabulous pieces of work. One such suggestion is Edward de Vere, the 17th Earl of Oxford.
  • There are 2 groups formed on the same debate, i.e, the Stratfordians (in support of Shakespeare) and the Oxfordians ( not in support of his authorship).

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players.
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts.
